Father’s Day is just around the corner on June 21st. While restaurants, breweries, and other businesses are slowly beginning to open up, it still may not be your typical Father’s Day celebration. Additionally, some people may still be hesitant to eat at a restaurant. With that being said, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Father’s Day from the comfort of your home that will still show Dad how much you love and appreciate him!

Whip Up a Home-Cooked Meal

There’s nothing more pleasant than the smell of a home-cooked meal. What’s even better, is not having to cook the meal yourself! If the father figure in your life is usually the chef of the family, treat him to a delectable, home-cooked meal of his choice. Perhaps you’ll wake him up to the smell of brunch, or treat him to a dinner of burgers or steak. No matter what meal you make, ensure that it’s his favorite! Dad will love to kick back and relax while enjoying a delicious meal with his family.

Enjoy the Outdoors

This weekend, enjoy some time in the outdoors with Dad! Plenty of outdoor activities allow for social distancing. Go walking on a nearby trail, go camping for the weekend, or spend the day golfing! Additionally, activities like fishing, kayaking, or boating allow us to social distance, while also engaging in a fun, outdoor activity. What’s Dad’s favorite thing to do outside? Spend the day his way! For ideas, check out our blog Places to Fish Around Waldorf.

Have a Movie Night

Pop the popcorn and get cozy on the couch — it’s time for a movie night! A relaxing way to end the Sunday, let Dad pick his favorite movie that you can all watch together! Or, if it’s a rainy day, make it a movie marathon. No matter what you watch, it’s a great way to spend some time together as a family.

Host Your Own Beer Tasting

If the father figure in your life is a beer drinker, host a beer tasting for them right from the comfort of your kitchen! Check out local breweries in your area to see if they’re doing curbside pick up. Grab a few of Dad’s favorites and set it up like he’s at a real beer tasting. Not only will he love trying different beers, but you will be supporting local breweries!

While this Father’s Day is probably looking a bit different than normal, we can still make it special. Fathers deserve all the love in the world on their special day! Think about what they may enjoy most, and get inspiration from these ways to celebrate Father’s Day!
